Well wishing to Japan

On the evening of the earthquake and tsunami, I was up until the wee hours of the morning trying to get in contact with my friends in the JET (Japanese Exchange Teaching program) and in the navy, as well as exchange students my family has hosted in the past. Fortunately they were all okay. A little shaken, but okay.
Unfortunately, many aren't okay. So far, Japan has been handling the crisis with remarkable speed and diligence. But should they need our aid, I will be providing it with both words of hope and well-wishing, as well as local food and clothing drives. The Red Cross will also be holding blood drives and monetary charities soon. Not everyone can donate. But if you can, even if it's some old clothes from your closet or dusty food cans in the pantry, it's something.

Should Japan not need the aid, then put those things towards the other islands and countries suffering from the same quake and tsunami. They may not be as well equipped to handle the devastation as Japan.
